Partnering and Licenssees

The new biometric information available from the Reveal Cellular Energy Monitor is highly relevant because it provides previously missing insights that have broad applicability. As portrayed in the quadrant diagram below, the lowest risk and easiest introduction is to provide a drop-in upgrade of existing monitors to provide better function, simpler user experience, and rapid scaling. New applications in established markets can offer improved awareness of problems and more effective therapy. Re-imagined delivery models can benefit from the sensor's ability to reliably function continuously for more effective surveillance. Ultimately, the most dramatic new acute care applications offer both new capabilities where none existed and the new ability to prevent previously unpreventable severe adverse outcomes.

Discovery of this new biometric information has created such a broad range of potential applications that one company could not possibly address all of them. Because of this, we are offering strategic business partnering opportunities in regulated and non-regulated markets. We began with the initial discovery of the unused non-pulsatile signals in the light absorption responses during bench testing of a prototype reflectance pulse oximeter. Following that lead, Reveal Biosensors has: (1) explored CEi responses to a wide range of stresses, (2) progressed through a series of four engineering prototypes, (3) optimized the selection of light wavelengths used, (4) obtained acceptance of the science basis of CEi by the FDA as a new biometric category separate from pulse oximetry and NIRS, (5) obtained IP protection with five issued patents, and (6) published a peer-reviewed report of sleep laboratory studies comparing CEi with SpO2 at UCSF. We are now looking to partner with established medical device manufacturers to apply our patented IP and physiologic information base toward creation and distribution of products and services to address unmet needs in their market segments; including the entire human life span and the full range of regulated medical, aerospace, and consumer device applications.

With the emergence of Digital Health and AI-Driven medicine, it is becoming increasingly apparent that there remain many unmet needs for more relevant biometric information. The Reveal sensor technology platform has the potential to be one of the most important new developments in addressing these needs and energizing the digital transformation of healthcare.
